Sabalenka at 14/1
Aryna Sabalenka is from Belarus, aged 20 and at her highest rank of 11th in the world. She plays her best tennis on hard courts and has already won a tournament this year in Shenzhen. She lost in the 1st round in Sydney to an inspired Kvitova but that maybe a blessing in disguise as she will be rested for the first grand slam of the year. She may have to meet Kvitova again, although she is on the opposite side of the draw to tournament favourite Serena Williams.
Pliskova at 16/1
Karolina Pliskova is from the the Czech Republic, aged 26 and ranked 7th in the world. She is a former number 1 player and won the tournament in Brisbane last week. She has a very good serve which helped to take her to the final of the US Open in 2016 and the semi of the French in 2017. She has a 13 and 6 record in the Australian Open.
Barty at 20/1
Ashleigh Barty has home advantage, being Australian and has just made the final in Sydney, coming back from a set down to beat Bertens. She has an accurate slice which some players lose patience with. A good serve considering her height and plays well on all surfaces.
